For many watch enthusiasts out there, the new Seiko monster watches are the type of watches to buy if you want to buy a quality automatic sport watch at an affordable price. On average Seiko monster watches sell at a price of between $200 and $2000; this is very affordable to the average man or woman.
Seiko monster watches are loved mainly for their bright lume, great bracelet, and solid build. There are different versions of Seiko monster watches. Each one is different from the other in one way or another. We have the original Seiko “Black Monster”SKX779 which measures approximately 42mm wide and 12mm thick. This watch can survive water depths of up to 200 meters. This means you can wear it in a swimming pool, ocean dive, or even in your shower. The Seiko “Black monster” was one of the first monster watches to be unveiled and contains features like a stainless steel case, an analog black dial, and a self winding mechanical movement.
Since the black monster was first released, Seiko has come up with newer versions of monster watches. They are five in total starting with the Seiko Monster SRP307K1 which has a standard black dial, the Seiko Monster SRP309K1 which has an orange dial, the Seiko Monster SRP311K1 which has a brownish/ orange dial with a black case, the Seiko Monster SRP313K1 which has red markers and a black dial, and last but not least the Seiko Monster SRP315K1 which has an orange dial and a black bezel.
The main reason why Seiko chose to upgrade its old monster watches and come up with newer versions is because the old monster watches like the SKX779 were using old movements. Second reason for Seiko updating is because owners of this old monster watch were demanding hacking and self winding in their watches. The new monsters are powered by the Seiko caliber 4R36 and can run for as long as 41 hours. If you want dive watches then get these monsters now.
